CSR at OakNorth

 
OakNorth believes that empowering growth businesses makes the world a more interesting, dynamic and diverse place to live. To continue reinforcing the positive impact growth businesses have on communities and economies globally, we donate 1% of our Group profits to supporting charitable causes and socially-minded enterprises.

Approach and strategy

 

OakNorth undertakes many timely, strategic, results-driven, and professionally-managed development initiatives consistent with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. Incorporating our core values - Right Ambition and OneTeam – OakNorth supports multiple non-profit organizations with wide-ranging initiatives to resolve specific problems and improve standards of living in local communities.

We seek to create and support opportunities for conservation of natural resources, education particularly in STEAM subjects, social mobility, entrepreneurship and mentorship, and inclusive development of underprivileged communities.

We invest in long term, replicable and sustainable development models that effectively address the various social needs and problems our communities face today. Our teams volunteer for a number of initiatives and participate in donation drives, as well as matching grants.

Covid-19

 
With the COVID-19 crisis impacting communities around the world, OakNorth has contributed to a number of initiatives globally, including specific efforts in India. We support The Akshaya Patra Foundation which has provided dry ration kits that translate to over 84,000 meals for 2,000 underprivileged families in Delhi NCR and Bengaluru. OakNorth has also supported Seva Mandir, an NGO that's providing hygiene and dry ration kits, including nutrition to over 1,000 families with children attending pre-school education centers.
